Jonathan Wallenbeck is the Associate Pastor of Youth/Family Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Sedalia Mo. He previously served as ministry consultant and associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Leeton, Leeton, MO. He has also served as the pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church Deepwater, MO.   He helped plant Grace Community Church in Windsor Mo, where he also served as associate pastor, youth pastor, adult Sunday School Teacher, played bass with Pillars of Grace among many other things. It was here at Grace that he was ordained into Gospel Ministry. He was the youth director at Calvary Baptist Church Windsor, MO, where he was ordained as a deacon. 
He is married to Sybil; they have been married for 35 years. They have 2 children Shauna 34 and she is married to Mike Lee and they live in Lowry City, Mo. Between them they have 5 children giving Jonathan and Sybil 5 Grandchildren, 3 granddaughters (ages 14, 11, 6) and 2 step-grandsons (ages 18, 14).  Their son James is 33 and is married to Rachel and they live in Omaha, Ne with their son (age 2) our grandson, giving us at total of 6 grandchildren.
Jonathan loves people, getting to know them, and preaching the Word of God. His desire is to see people’s lives changed for the Kingdom of God. To see families worship God together, to see young people understand the Word of God for themselves and to see the Church love the community the way Christ loves the church.
The Apostle John says in 1 John 5.13, “I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” That is my desire for everyone to know that they have eternal life.​

Activities At Calvary

AWANA started September 4th, it is for children PreK – 6th Grade. They meet at 6:00 pm, we ask that parents bring their children early so that they do not miss out on any of the fun.

Calvary CREW  is for youth grades 7th thru 12th. They meet – Sunday Morning for Sunday School at 8:50 am, Sunday Nights for Sunday Night Live at 6:00 pm and Wednesday Night at 6:00 pm for Calvary CREW.

In the Fall and Spring I will be holding Bible Studies for the adults times and dates will be announces as we get closer to those dates. I would like to encourage each adult to attend one of these Bible studies as it will help them in their daily walk and to draw closer to God.

Christian Campus Connection – C3 – This is an out reach ministry at State Fair Community College. This organization meets every Thursday at 3:00 pm in the Yager building Room 134 with students. We have Bible study, worship, food, fellowship, fun and yes help them understand how they can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with their fellow students.
